On Friday October 2, 1998, 1:30 P.M., students, parents, teachers and Community Leaders, in a heart warming ceremony, remembered the late Isobel Rooney. It was the Dedication Ceremony, renaming Middle School 80 after her.

After a welcome message from our Principal Mr. Lawrence F. Gluck

and greetings from the Superintendent Ms. Irma Zardoya

the MS80 Select Chorus under Mr. David Kazansky

sang, from the Broadway play "Rent," the song "Seasons of Love."

It was a celebration of a life dedicated in public service. For our children for our Community.

Speaker after speaker remembered Isobel Rooney.

After the speakers the MS80 Dancers,

with Ms. Lisa Harrigan performed the "Candle in the Wind."

Every one received a card to write a memory of Isobel Rooney.Here are two of them.
